Symphonic Tributes – Dutch Church London – 10/06/19

Under the baton of new musical director Alan Duguid, CLSW perform an exciting programme of symphonic music for wind ensemble. The theme of the concert is “tributes”: original music inspired by great composers. The concert will include:

  • Montage (Symphony for Wind Orchestra) by Peter Graham (with movements inspired by Lutoslawski, Heaton and Ravel)
  • Folksongs by David Stanhope, (a homage to Percy Grainger)
  • Spartacus by Jan Van der Roost (inspired by Resphigi)
  • Secret Rites by Miyoshi (with echoes of Stravinsky)
  • Ground on One Note by Wheeler (a tribute to David Bedford)
